| Data Center Consolidation came about as the result of a study conducted by Hitachi Data Systems in 1996 and the subsequent adoption of the Budget and Control Boards report to the Legislature in 1997. Initially, eleven agencies were selected to participate in the consolidation. The Budget and Control Board’s Office of Information Resources built this new facility on Broad River Road in 1999. This site is strategically located among the concentration of agencies in this area and the existing infrastructure that supports them. |
