Information Systems Operations

The CIO operates the new State Consolidated Data Center at 4430 Broad River Road in Columbia. This center is the primary location for Information Services Operations which also operates additional data centers located in the Wade Hampton Building on the State House grounds and in the DSS Building on Bull Street.

New State Data Center

Computing Services provides for computer operations and technical support on a 7 day per week/24 hour per day basis for the mainframe systems located at these data centers. Technical Services is responsible for support of mainframe hardware and software. Technical Services personnel also provide consulting services for mainframe networks, data bases and other systems software. The Applications & Development section develops and supports mainframe and client/server business applications for government users. Distributed Computing Services  is responsible for PC and LAN support.
